As I'm moving towards the website's anniversary, I'm officially naming this phase 3.5 of the website. Right now I'm focusing on purely (or at least almost purely) video gaming announcements, information, etc. and moving away from the original purposes of the site. What do you think? http://www.thefunbucket.com In order from other phases (please don't ask how I came up with this whole "phase" thing, it's just the different stages of me learning what works and what doesn't work with blogging) that had their ups and downs; Phase 1 - The original site with a forum hosted at 1&1. My first true blog. Phase 2 - I moved from 1and1 to WP.com; removed the forums and went on with blog posts. Eventually the blog's visitor activity started to pick up a bit. Phase 3 - Probably the worst "phase" of the website. I moved towards gaming, particularly with the Wii and some of the posts I made had a little less thought than before and without my knowledge were a bit biased to the Wii. Lost an affiliate (which I gained back after) and part of the way through the "phase", I noticed the problem and fixed it. Phase 3.5? - Going multi-platform on the website since I'm more interested in all three of the next-generation consoles right now. I own the XBOX 360 and Wii and will own the PS3 very soon so it's going to be much easier to write about all three. This is gonna be a short phase since I'm moving to 4 when the one-year anniversary occurs.
HI, You have a good concept for a site but the design is somewhat lacking. Here are my suggestions: Lighten the design up and make it easier on the eye. Introduce brighter colours to make the site more appealling Use pictures! Hope this is useful Good luck Notting
