    There is a shop just around to corner from me, run by a couple of indian guys, they call everyone "my friend".. I dont think they have ever short changed me though..

    As above but a Turkish run kabab shop..

    Never get that. They usually call me "mate" or something equallly annoying. I work in a supermarket and i'll get the sack if I tell them to f*ck off as they're not really my mates.

    Personally that does not bother me, when someone says "my friend" they are being polite and friendly.
