My friend can't join Digital Point Forums

    Hi Shawn,

I recomended the DP forum to one of my friends, who registered with a yahoo id which ended in yahoo.co.in ( This is default by yahoo for indian signups)

But after registration she cannot verify her account as DP doesn't recognise a yahoo.co.in as a valid email extension.

Can you kindly fix it Shawn as I am sure a lot of Indians might be facing this problem.

    Thanks,

    Abhilash.

I never faced this problem with my email :)
Did she try checking the activation mail in bulk?

Amit are you using a yahoo.co.in email?

Bcos she is asked to change the email ID to a valid email ?

Later I asked her to change it to yahoo.com and now the email is valid but the verification emails don't arrive... as her actual email id is and not

Did they check their spam folder? There is nothing on this end what would prevent it from being sent.

yes, my friend did check the spam folder. I think you will know the problem if you register a yahoo.co.in email ID and try to register using that id.

I am just pointing out what my friend told me.

    Thanks,
    Abhilash.

If this email it? If so, from the mail logs, it looks like they are using yahoo.com, not yahoo.co.in...

Yfs1, provide that password of that test account to ecolatur and she can log in and change it. Then we'll change the User ID and we're sorted.

oh , so much confused after seeing that screenshot..

My friend is not online now but I guess this might have happened..

That she gave yahoo.com as the email while registering by error and then might have tried to change it to yahoo.co.in... though I am not sure what gave that message...

Will update you when I get further info..

However, thanks for looking into the matter..

    Sorry for the trouble...

Actually I had praised a lot about DP to her:p , so when she came accross a small prob I didn't want to lose a chance to prove her that the admin and the mods here care a lot about members;)

    Thanks a lot :)

I think only the admin cares about us. :)
not the mods , as they move threads and give infractions :(
