One of DP member informed that my dishnews forum takes too much time to load in his 10mbps broadband. Is it true? i am using YaBB for my forum. Can anyone tell us real 'load time' and help me to rectify the problem? www.dishnews.medianetwork.co.in
First load is really slow due to all the graphics pictures i would say. The caching does not seem right, i would check that. Also your advertising block is not set right in the template, it covers all the copyright and encroaches into the forum boundries.
According to FireBug, it took a full 18.25 seconds, however I think it was longer. Extremelt slow first time, slightly quicker after that. Yeah I agree it is your images. Make sure all your images are .jpg or .gif for a starter
May be its becuase you've used lots of images in your forum & due to your forum is too heavy too load. Try reducing the size of your images. Also dont use the images where they are not neccessary to you. Switch to phpBB or VB rather that yabb. Just some advice... its all depends on you..
It loads fine for me. ~3.4 Mbps and it took ~1.5 secs. The header appeared instantly and then there was a very slight delay (~0.5 sec) as the main (nested) table rendered.
