My forums gets a lot of traffic (more than DP) Alexa went from 21.000 to 26.000?!?

Our forums checkthisup[dot]com get more traffic than a lot of other forums. Maybe even more than DP. Our Alexa rank is not getting any better. It went from 21.000 up to 26.000 can someone please help.

Even if your forum is huge, other websites can grow and that can make your Alexa rankings go down. If you can give me the link of your forum I can try and look and see if I can find any other issues!

Yes I saw that. At a certain time we were at 21.000. In some countries like Libya we were ranked 700. Pakistan 1200 but then like you said other websites get better and start gaining ground on us.

We are in the process of adding new features to the Forums. We hope to see it going to around 15.000 before the end of the year. I know it's going to be very hard but I m sure we will be getting there.

Although a lot of people don't believe in Alexa rank. I personally take it very seriously. I don't want to sound bad, but I think it's also because of my co-moderators and administrators. Sometimes they don't get on the forums for days and leave most of the work to few of us.

I'm sure their visits count too. On top of that we lost a lot of money that we were making from advertisement. We just found out that all advertisement inquiries were going to a discontinued email address that was lost after we changed hosting companies.

Trust me that Forums has a lot of potential. It could bring in revenues in the XXX.XXX a year if well managed. I'm hoping to add a micro job section and few other features that I cannot share at the moment. Once we do. I'm hoping the revenue will be from 5k to 10k a month in the next few months.

 

I would say, you can't judge your traffic in accurate comparative manner by just some sort of third party tools and alexa ranks!

 

I agree with you to a certain extent, but I really believe in Alexa and if both my site and the site I'm comparing my site to are rated by Alexa, then the rating should be somehow accurate. No?

 

How many impressions you are getting per Month..?

 

I get almost 2 million impressions a month.

Use moderators to move threads to right category.
