i hope this is the right category but my forum just got hacked
    was using vbulletin 3.8.6.
had mods installed such as experience, ajax thanks, vbseo, inferno shoutbox, cyb statistics.
well they left a bugs bunny image on my current frontpage (still live)
and i really don't know how to remove it

    my database is still intact.
no weird files in my ftp folder, nothing was changed to my index file and htacces file
i'm getting the hackers page on every page of my website so it isn't the index page
my question is how did they do this, and how can i protect it from happening in the future

here's a link to my forum
    http://www.boxxyboards.com/
    Code (markup):
    would appreciate the help

The seem to have injected their URL in your database. Check a table where you have to specify your website URL and see if the hacker managed to change it? If yes, you will have to change the database user/password, Ftp and account password.

BTW, do you have root access to the server OR you have a Shared package?

Is the VB software you are using 100% legit?
