My First Weeks Observations of the Forum

So, I have been here less than a week and I have already learned some important things.

    1) If I thought I knew little about computers, programming, site building and all that stuff, I now know that I know less than little. I think I will stick to writing! :D

    2) This place is massive. I thought I had visited one of the largest forums there is, but this place dwarfs that one. I could spend countless hours here and probably only read a small percent of the threads that are available.

    3) People get banned. I have read through threads only to find out that some of the people in the threads have gotten banned. Yes, that is a good thing. Not for them, but for those of us who are truly here to learn. Now, I will need to figure out why people get banned so I can make sure I don't make their mistakes!

    4) The forum is set up very nice. I try to enter places and post and get messages that tell me I'm still a peon and that I'm not allowed! That is good, too. No need to waste anyone's time until I have paid my dues.

    5) Even though this place has a lot of intelligent and professional people on board, people are still friendly.

    6) I have learned that you can get demerits or whatever they are called. So, I will have to read up on why you get them so I can be sure that I don't get any of them.

    7) Lastly, I have learned that I haven't even been here long enough to have any kind of impression, yet. So, I'll just have to hang around.

    Cheers!
