Yeah I though it turned out nice for you first time, I would say for the kids game thing though is that is a big maybe. I actually have a couple friends of mine going to DigiPen this year and they say just simple stuff like backgrounds requires more math then art skills. Kinda sucks that the dreams of us kids growing up playing mario will have to get PhD's in physics soon just to work in the games we love.

pretty nice for your first time! Just a suggestion though, you should adjust the pig facial elements to make it more centered, especially since it is the main object (Mainly the eyes and the nose). Vector drawings are a lot of fun so keep trying different techniques and ideas!

 

I like it. It's a very good first work actualy! I would just change the flag
