    Hi,

I just wanted to ask you what you thought about this template is just made.

Note: This is the first template I have ever created.

Please comment about it. Not just comments like "Very basic" or something like that.

cool, i like the color scheme but the white text is kind of hard to read on the yellow bg. overall great job!

Thanks for the comments. I used Photoshop.

What colour should the white text be? Any idea?

Another vote against white text :)

And a template isn't really a template until it's coded is it? I judge a template on both the attractiveness but also on it's html size, the cleanness of the css and how it looks across browsers.

As a first effort though, you've done well. keep going and you'll be up with the best.

I like the general design. For the content text you might want to try all black (to tie the black and yellow theme together more). For the text over the black/grey bar the white does really pop out, but you might want to try a red to give added emphasis to the different heading areas. I can't tell from your capture, but are you using the striped background as a repeating background image? If not, when a user has a different their screen size than yours, you might have trouble scaling, same problem with a solid top graphic, unless you set your tables to a specific width. You might try breaking your image up into repeating sections, and setting it as a background image (With the text on top inside the table) so that it will scale it's self width-wise.

And news, and Latest works, and the top buttons, except perhaps the one for the current page the user is on (To distinguish it from the others), yes.

Well I tried it and it doesn't look very good, at least I find the white color work much better for this template.

Well there are a lot of different reds one can try, but if you think it looks better with white, go for it. Red doesnt' work in the color scheme of every page after all.

That's an excellent template in my opinion, especially for a first one. I know if I tried to make one it would look terrible.
