My first squidoo lense

    So, i finally decided to try out squidoo and made my first squidoo lense. I really have no idea though, about how to promote my squidoo lense, make it popular etc., does anyone who has been sucessfull with squidoo have some tips?

    Well, I believe you can still ping your Squidoo lens, and you can also join groups related to your Squidoo lens and talk about it.

    If this Squidoo lens is your only website, then manual labor never hurt anyone. Post on forums/discussion boards leaving a link back to your squidoo lens but if you do have another website, then by all means post it on there and add daily content to your squidoo to keep it alive and keep people coming back visiting.

    I gave up on squidoo and hubpages. I can get better results by using all my new content on my own sites. Then I ping the RSS for the site (not a blog) using some software. Make sure all your regular sites have an RSS page (mydomain.com/rss.xml). I have had sites indexed in Google in less than a day doing this. So, if you are going to take the time and effort (or expense) to creating content, it should go to your own domains. Over time you will get much better search results.

    I have also found ezinearticles getting less hits lately too.

    There are tons of ways to use Squidoo...

    Make sure that you give your visitors several opportunities early on to either go to the vendors sales page or your own order page if you are selling your own product.

    well i have researched squidoo for sometime and got hang of it! been creating awesome lenses for my clients all day and they seem to like it :)

    If you've blog, add the rss feed in your lense, it will show the latest posts of your blog and help you in traffic. :)

    Everyone has good or bad experience with Squidoo, I use Squidoo but I focus on my own blog. I think having your own blog is better than writing articles in Squidoo or Hubpages
