My first Squidoo lens!

I finally created my first Squidoo lens (and I'm all proud of myself). It's short and sweet, promoting a relatively unused part of my social bookmarking site. I do have one early question. Is there an easy way that I can change the URL after I set it or do I have to create an all new lens?

Let me know if I'm on the right track - I hope to add to it and optimize it. What do you guys suggest?

    Nice looking Lens!

I am somewhat familiar with Squidoo, but I have not seen anything about being able to change your URL:(

I will be sure to let you know if I see something about it though, as I am in the process of building up my first Lens too.

I gave you 5 stars, but they might not matter if you have to change URL's heh.

Your url is too long... make it short like this for example.

    http://www.squidoo.com/247promo

It is hard to remember especially if you are using not too familiar words.

To the best of my knowledge, you can't change the url of your squidoo lens.

Unfortunately you cannot change the URL. That's why it is important to choose a good keyword-rich URL at the beginning. I think /social-bookmarking-backlinks or something like that would work better. Also you need to add more content in order to get your lens out of the red (i.e. make it featured).

good quick to the point squidoo page there, you cannot change your squidoo url after you have created the page you will need to make a new lens.

To change the domain name, you need to save everything you put in that lens by copying and pasting all the content, then you need to delete that lens and rename the domain name in a new lens. I agree with Viktor Drej, your current domain name is way to long and it needs to be changed into a simple and small name so that visitors can remember where your lens is. Your content is good though!

Don't worry about the length. It's important to have the main keywords in the url. It's veeery important!

Nice lens and the graphics just add the beauty as well as clarity. Like all said, URL looks as an issue. You can create a new one and transfer the content as SriKath suggested.

    Cheers!

Also, just a tip from one Lensmaster to another, you might find this tool to be of some help:

    http://www.squidootagbuddy.info/

It lets you easily copy the tags of other popular Lenses in your niche.

It will then input the tags you choose into your own Lens (limit of 40 tags/related topics).

It is good to see which Lenses are ranking well, and then "borrow" some of their popular tags. This will help you increase traffic from Squidoo itself.

I just learned about this the other day.

    Hope that helps!

So based on the input, I guess I'll delete this one and create a new lens with a short, to the point URL. Thanks again!
