YES, I have made it! I have made my first sale... I am still unable to grasp it, but yes, it is possible to make money online, and yes it is possible to invest 10$ and get 30$ out of it. What I used was: free templates, free webspace hosting, free domain hosting (co.cc), and about 10$ in google AdWords. I started my google campaign for about 200-300 keywords from which about 15 are producing steady clicks. At the same time I posted 10 articles to ezinearticles.com but I only managed to produce 37 clicks, so I highly doubt that the sale came from there. Don't get me wrong, this is not one hit K.O. The first product I promoted was rubbish and I ditched it after 200 hops. Then I started promoting another product but ditched that one too. That said, I achieved my first online marketing success after about 3 totally failed campaigns. And the result? It took me 3 months of constant reading (10+ ebooks), listening to audio programs, making websites, seeing nothing but constant faliure and having doubts about the whole system. One thing that I did know was that I will succeed sooner or later with this and that I'm not prepared to quit. You can do it too... Just never give up and you'll make it.
Great to see you finally converted Congrats Jose and it's nice that you posted your stats for others to see what is what - I'm sure you've motivated quite a few newcomers. Best and keep truckin'. NC.
congrats on your first sale but from what I have read I think you can do better - one, try to track your sales you can do that by attaching a tracking code to your affiliate link that way you would know where your sale really came from, for all you know you could be wasting money on adwords - 200 keywords is a lot, try to make your keywords more targeted and increase your bid on those targeted keywords
Wow, mad respect man. 3 months with no sales and you kept going...you have an awesome attitude about this
Congrats! I also remember the joy i had after making my first sale! believe me it only gets better from there.
Now imagine when you get that first check ;] that's the best feeling ever - just keep working hard there's nothing like getting your affiliate marketing cherry popped
First off congrats and keep going full force. I was wondering what positions you were able to achieve on your PPC campaigns with that amount per click. EDIT: D'oh, I need to look better.
First off, thank you all for the support and thumbs up Here is another statistics screenshoot. This time from Google Analytics My problem is that I'm promoting my website and the affiliate links are on it, so this way it's pretty hard to know who exactly clicked on them. I'm sorry for not being clear enough. At the start I added about 200 keywords but deleted all but the effective ones. Thanks for the tip though Heh, a few more sales and I'll get it. This sale was done thru PayPal, I'm hoping for credit cards now For the sole process of making this website? I put it on in about 2 days, wrote the articles in 3 days, and was constantly changing the campaign in AdWords. So I guess it took me a bit less then one month on this specific campaign.
When the visitor enters your page, open a session and save the sessionid+referring page/adwords in database. Now add the sessionid as tracking id to your affiliate links and you will be able to match your buyers with were they came from. Maybe I'll write an eBook + source code on this soon
I don't really understand what are you suggesting I'm no programmer heh Thanks for the idea, but atm I'm running out of ideas with my ads, it seems to be pretty hard to convince people to click on my ads. I'm split testing but mostly just getting worse or the same effects... On a sidenote... I made a blog for my niche. Is it better to put on direct affiliate links or to send them to my current website to presale them even further?
