Sorry to rain on your parade pal but a marketing strategy that works on a clickbank product+google adwords+"review style affiliate landing page" is sure to get google slapped and likely to get your account banned. its not even a question of if but rather a question of when. this usually happens after your account gains some momentum and you are already planning your future condo. I would advise you to try and find other avenues of income while your business is still young and diversify your ppc to bing and yahoo.
how do you used adwords, did you linked it to your own landing page or to the vendor's (your hop link)?
Thank you for all your encouraging statements, I have yet to make a second sale because I paused my ad campaign over christmas, but I am starting up again soon and plan to make more sales. @Darkeralice: thanks for pointing that out, I will work on promoting my product in other ways soon. @proud2bpinoy: I linked to a landing page.
Congrats on your first sale, but yes as some one has pointed out you are walking on thin rope with review style landing pages and adwords. You should focus on content network which you might already be using and try YSM as well. If you have interest in PPC there are several methods by which it can be used(ref sig.)
If you're linking to a vendor landing page, you're going to get google slapped! Try BING or YSM, they don't care as much I make a hell lot more from YSM anyways, with about a dollar spent for every 20$ I make
YSM is Yahoo's equivalent to AdSense. A lot of the time it isn't as saturated and you can get some decent keywords for a cheaper price. I guess Microsoft's Bing search engine has one as well. So is Google against all landing pages because they look "scammy", or the fact that they just made that new FTC law in the US that says you can't write a fake review? In either case, perhaps a more "professional" approach bundled with PPC would be more appropriate, such as linking to a product (with some reviews, of course )in your own online eBook store.
First, congrats on your sale...and the numbers seems to be great so far...clicks vs. sales. However, be very carefull and also try not to force things. There will be days with PPC when you will have no sales and a lot of clicks. The important thing is to stay calm and carefully continue working on your campaign and see what is better for you. For me personally I get more sales on content search than on keyword search... Congrats once agains...and good luck with your campaign.
