I have just created my first PPC campaign for my first startup with Google Adwords.

Was this a good move? I wasn't getting any traffic to the website and hopefully it will increase incoming traffic. What else should I do to maximize the registration of these incoming users?

This is all done through the options GoogleAdwords provides? So far my campaign is targetted towards United States. How do I go about making a more general campaign? Are general campaigns better?

My main goal is to maximize my gain from this campaign to the extent that no maximization is possible.

Keep in mind the timing on which you put your campaign live...you got to initially look in to it and analyse which is the peak time for you to generate revenue and traffic.
