I have a few blogs that I constantly work on and am always looking for people who would like to advertise on them.. Well it finally paid off! I recently started a blog that focuses on comics, comic conventions, toys, and other entertainment related info and I finally got someone to advertise! Not to mention many people keep asking to do link exchanges. The site is less than a month old and already gets steady traffic and has a paid advertiser! So if you are trying to find people to advertise, then dont give up! Find a niche that is untapped and then traffic and advertising will come quickly Finding an untapped market might be hard, but once you do it things will become much easier.
I've always found success by jumping on a niche that nobody else is involved in. Like, you can read about my success with finding an untapped niche.
I don't think it's nobody is doing it, it's if you can take it to a whole other level of quality and service. If you're blog totally blows away everybody with the design and the quality of the content you'll always win hands down against someone who's been in the industry for 5 years but is also in another 3-4 niches and can't focus on that niche enough to really dominate it. If you want to dominate a niche don't do anything than work on one project at a time. Project A will always distract you away from Project B and Project B will always distract you away from Project A to the point you're not getting anywhere and give up. People fall down because they get internet marketing giddyness and think they can take on the world single handly only to find out that they should of put 100% of their efforts into one site and MADE IT WORK before ever moving into another project.
where do you find advertisers?people using google adsense for the most part to monetize a blog.do you think finding an advertiser pays more then any other?
thanks to all who posed I dont want to state the exact domain here but it is not hard to find advertisers if you have good content. Initially I did a google search for a term that is related to my blog. then i found people who are using adwords and contacted them first. This is a good starting point. Then I simply contacted other related stores and found some people who wanted to advertise - easy and simple!
Word to that. If there was a golden rule it would hands down be to FOCUS on one thing at a time and stick to it no matter what until you get it successful. Of course there's some things/niches you can't really turn profitable or make good money off but some other niches/offers (weight loss, bizopp, beauty) have been proven time and time again to make others millions of dollars A MONTH. The most important part on you if you're looking to duplicate that success is by putting in the necessary time to achieve it. Seqqa's already said that in his own way but let me give my own break-up/example of why focusing for real is a MUST if you wan't to get successful. If you're advertising via paid traffic for example let's say on an ad network (ie Adsonar) you MUST stick in there until you make your first dollar, get a profitable campaign and then scale it. Maybe that's obvious so why am I saying this and why is it so crucial? Simply because people spend some money, lose it and never come back again and that's why they never succeed. They keep on jumping from Bing to Facebook to Pulse360 to Myspace while there's the guy out there that's staying 10 hours a day on Facebook spending money and figuring things out. He might lose a little in the beginning but in the end he'll make hundreds of thousand if not millions while the others that never stick to something keep on running in circles. Bottome line, stay focused because everything is possible (well most things ) Like Charlie Sheen once said "Can't is the cancer of happen". Just Focus.
