After reading Digital Point for about 6 months, I took the dive and set up a small website on June 1st 2011. Since then I've had 220 unique visits out of 290 total visits. I've had 3 clicks in the past month totaling £3.15 with an average of £1.05 per click. I havent really done any SEO as I'm still learning that part, but I did create an account with Social Monkee which claims to put my links on social bookmark websites. I'm 7th in Google on page 1 for my main search term, which is also my URL. I'm coming up in the 5th-8th pages though for my other search terms. Can anyone offer any advice to get my site moved up towards the first page of Google for my other search terms, and do my stats look ok so far? Thanks
That's a good earning i would say. But still am not able to get my account setup. Everytime I apply, they just reply back saying PageType issue and so they can't approve now. Tried with other ad networks, though I have placed my code, still I have to see my ads. Any help is appreciated. 500+ visitors with 58% new visitors.
Good Start. Add more content, blog and add good keywords to metadata. Social Monkee is an old trick which will not worth now.
Congratulation! First earning is always important. (at least I was very happy to see it. It is great motivator, if you can see "I can do it, too") But take it only as the beginning. It should motivate to work harder (because the hardest part is still ahead). Continue to create more content and start (or continue) promoting your website. Your metrics are OK for now, so you have to BUILD TRAFFIC - traffic is the king, without traffic you will not make any money. (and when saying traffic, i mean reall traffic - not those "10,000 REAL TARGETED VISITORS *** ADSENSE SAFE *** $4,99" scam offers you can sometimes see)
Try focusing on adding content for the next three month... Meanwhile you can start link building strategy by submitting an article to articles directory...
Reading your post I actually went back and checked how much I made my first month of my first site with adsense, it was actually better than I thought. I made $87 the first month, interestingly enough I made pretty much just as much (or just as little) my second month.
Your CTR is not bad, especially for the new site. Keep working on your site, soon you will get more traffic and clicks.
Just Focus on Content & Traffic It will give you better result with the passage of time but Congrts For This effort Atleast
A good source I use for backlinking is a company called profilelinkservices. I find their prices very reasonable but be careful cause if your site is new, you don't want too many backlinks too fast - that too can get you in trouble with Google. I have been using their smallest pack - 200 links, about once a month and have definitely seen my ranking as well as traffic increase. Hope that helps.
You are welcome. The only problem I have with them is you need to stay on top of your order and if you are quoted delivery time, you need to send them a reminder immediately just after the last day. But the results are impressive. Best of luck.
Congratulation, nice start. Just keep continuing to post good quality articles and do proper on page and off page optimization. You will be able to earn more.
Not bad...you have to start some place. My site is now 3 months old. I added adsense after the 2nd month. So June was my frist month with adsnese. Estimated earnings: $360.06 Page Views: 195,186 Clicks: 2259 CTR: below 2.0 I am really looking forward to what happens in July!
