I am fairly new to the whole Internet Marketing and SEO scene, I have an interest in web design and my goal is to make enough to firstly pay my hosting and domain bills and eventually to quit my job and start earning a living on the internet. Well a couple of days a go I read about Google adsense and decided to give it a go. I added it to my site and then to my blog. I must admit the set up was less hassel than I expected. Now just a few days in and I have amde $1.66. This may not seem a great deal but I am only just sttarting to get traffic to my blog and site. The PR is 0 and alot of the links are coming from forums and other blog. I have a feeling this could start to make me a little bit of cash on the side, once I get the site/blog functioning properly. Sorry for the babbling - but tis jsut goes to show that owning a web site and spending 5 minutes setting up the ads can make you money from doing nothing!
You'll get more if you do something, rather than do nothing. Advertise your site, get traffic and don't just spend 5 mins for putting your ads, design your website so that the visitors will see it properly.
$1.66 in a few days is not bad, for a beginner. It took me a few weeks to reach that amount in the beginning.
I've just checked back and the amount has changed to $1.30. OK - I know I shouldn't be checking everyday etc and I should be spending my time building links and getting more traffic and content but I'm still really new to this and want to make sure everything is alright. Is it normal for the amount over the last few days to fluctuate or should I be worried?
I think you have taken a right decision at right time. Please keep on updating the content to get few more bucks per day. All the best.
