Hello, well as the title says this is my first every website. I understand content is key and everything, the only thing i need help on is the presentation of my website. I need to know if it looks good or too amatuerish. So please view my profile and visit my "home page" and tell me how I could improve to visual aspect of it. Thanks a ton!

The adsense block forcing the text over to the right is doing it no favours.

So the adsense ad doesn't look good floating to the left? Oh well I was jsut experimenting trying to see if it increased my CTR

Its fine and common to put it on the left but its resulting in the need to scroll sideways.

Not bad for a first design. I think the background image could be done better though. There is a copyright line of text appearing on the left side of the background.
