My first ever PPC campaign

Today when i checked webmaster tools I got a 100$ adwords coupon. So I wasted no time and decided to try out adwords. This is going to be my first PPC campaign ever. Hope it does well.

 

I received such a coupon too.
So far I didn't use it (yet).

I dont expect any sales because I really am a novice in PPC campaigns. Let's see how I can pull off my first campaign. So how do i know I they really credited the money to my account? They told the coupon has been applied, but I cant see any balance or anything. I have activated through my credit card

IMO - try the content network first, it will be cheaper

Good luck with your first advertising campaign. And take my advice - try long tail keyword targeting, you stand a much better chance to get more conversions if you do it this way.

Don't get into Adwords unless you learn a little bit about it first. While it isn't hard, there are tons of ways to triple that $100 in not time at all) On the other hand, you can lose it in a blink of the eye if you haven't done your homework)

Adwords is not easy to start with especially with all the slaps and quality score issues. Good luck and do post the results how it goes for you.

 

My campaign is set up in a not so competitive niche. Have read about adwords in some places. Anyway no clicks till now

I think if you have had Google webmaster tools for a long time they send you the promotional offer. That's how I got it

 

I got mine by using Google Analytics for a long time.

 

So i guess basically you need to be a google product user for a long time i guess
