Finally I've sold something high value on Amazon it was a 47-inch LCD TV and I got a $28 commission for it. The funny thing is that I wasn't even promoting the product on my site So if you're thinking you don't want to promote Amazon because of the crappy commissions think again
It's always fun to see the different things that people buy - products that I KNOW I have no website promoting - but somehow bought anyway. Amazon is a selling machine the likes of which haven't been seen before. (Or come to think of it, the old Sears catalog comes close!) 'Dcristo' is absolutely right - you'll be amazed at what you end up selling - and the commissions - while they may be a low percentage compared to Clickbank - are far easier to make. Building a decent 5-7 product Amazon Affiliate site can be done over a weekend if you know what you're doing, and shouldn't take much longer than that even if you're building your first one (provided you have a mentor). Of course, you'll make no money at all if you don't build any Amazon Affiliate sites...
That's the great thing about being an Amazon Associate and promoting their products.. people get on Amazon and end up buying all kinds of random stuff.
i've read, but i got not much experience at blog, and im pratising basic design web, but it's hard. i like earning money from internet, but not easy. Sometime dont know how to start it. To ten Quan sn 85. Hiem khi gap ng VN that vui the. Co gi trao doi qua yahoo nha. quan281vn. you?
For beginners amazon is a great ressource to get the first $. Specially in the household sector is less competition and you can rank you website faster as in the technical sector. The only disadvantage of amaon is the long wainting time for the payment.

If you are going to start somewhere it should probably be Amazon. It tends to have better conversions and a much larger inventory, so you should be able to easily find products that you can promote to your audience.
@nihangshah Nice commission! Just remember making money with Amazon is not a 100m sprint it's a marathon!
I have to admit 2 of my best sites use Amazon and the more you sell the higher the commission, finding the right niche is the hardest part though as high end electronics is a saturated market but when you do sell something it does produce a nice commision.Prehaps i should start selling Televisions instead of beauty products and clothing but i have to admit woman will still pay for these products even in a recession.
I was thinking to start a website where I could just sell the products from Amazon. I wanted to know whether its profitable or not. Anyways, thanks, I just got motivated
I only started getting back into Amazon late last year, and within weeks I was making regular sales. I find it's much easier selling stuff on Amazon than let's say CJ but it's different for everyone.
@dcristo - nice to hear that... i asked the question because i read somewhere that earning in amazon starts after 3 months.... my site is still two-months old and hoping to earn soon... but traffic is really discouraging....
