Just logged into Clickbank to find I made my first ever sale (as an affiliate). Was really happy considering I only spent about 3 or 4 days promoting my product Product cost: $67 How much I made: $30.49 What I did: * create a squidoo lens * create a wordpress.com blog * create a blogspot blog * create an informational video to upload to YouTube, Dailymotion, Revver, and LiveVideo * post a question on Yahoo answers and answer it with another account, and make it the best answer * submit my squidoo lens and a blog post on wordpress.com blog to Digg and Propeller * sutmbled all my sites Didn't really take much time. Just posted 1-2 articles on wordpress.com blog and blogspot blog. Just a few minutes work. I just read up articles on other websites and put it into my own words. With the video, I just made a quick video entitled: "10 tips on how to _________" You could probably do something similar for your video. Another idea I had in mind, but haven't done yet, is to create a promotional video for the eBook and a review video. With the blogs, I submitted them to RSS feed aggregator sites. And for the other sites, they just slowly started climbing up the google search results for long tail keywords by themselves. How I linked to the clickbank sales page: Well, the domain of the site was DomainOfProduct.com, so I just registered Domain-Of-Product.com On Domain-Of-Product.com (example), I put the following code into my index.html file: <html> <title>Title of product</title> <meta name="product name" content="true"><meta name="robots" content="noindex"> </head> <frameset border=0 rows="100%,*" frameborder="no" margintop=0 marginleft=0 marginright=0 marginbottom=0> <frame SRC="HOPLINK HERE" scrolling=auto frameborder="no" border=0 noresize> <frame topmargin="0" marginwidth=0 scrolling=no marginheight=0 frameborder="no" border=0 noresize> <body> </body> </frameset> </html> HTML: And yeah, basically, I just linked to the domain through all the sites I made. Not only that, but I also linked my sites with each other. Conclusion: So yeah, after all that work, I just took a rest and waited a few days to find I made my first sale. From here on I'm just going to keep repeating the process with as many products as I can. Just made this post to give some people hope. I've been spending alot of time reading threads in this forum, and on the clickbanksuccessforum, and bum marketing eBooks, and it's helped alot. I'm liking this alot better than making money with adsense, this is alot more fun. I'd recommend everyone to read up and learn more about bum marketing. Any advice on how I can better promote products is also greatly appreciated. I'm still pretty new to this.
Sorry about that, forgot to include the screenshot. It's now on the first post. The product I was promoting cost $67, and I made about $30.34 from that sale. Thanks for the kind words, Sem-Advance.
Skribblez my friend well done! Its good to hear when hard work pays off! Good Luck and make sure you rinse and repeat Olgi
Well done, I know you work really hard and I have been through what you have, I use to promote on yahoo answers too and got a sale each day until I get 15 sales and then I promote through something else.Keep this red hot motivation stay, set your goal and never give up until you get it.Good luck.
Awesome. Congrats. Just to be on the good side of both google and CB, its better to just redirect your URL to the merchant, rather than using frames. Its against the TOS of both these giants.
Congrats...I remember my first one...felt like jumping up and down...started counting how much money I would make if this happened every day...lol
Nice idea, but it seems to me this is a form of cookie stuffing? Which is blackhat affiliate marketing?
Well done mate. Hopefully the conversions stay the same, that's awesome getting a sale with only 10 hops.
Congratulations on the first sale. There's nothing like it when you get your first, especially within 10 hops.
I made my first sale on the first day with PPC with only 2 hops. But, I think I would contribute that to beginner's luck. Good for you!
Congrats and thanks for the info. It really is a hard slog reading all the ebooks, watching the videos etc. That hardest thing is staying focused 'knowing' that one day it will all pay off. Good job!
