My first blog, how do I get folks to comment?

People come sorta, but no one comments? It is even a dofollow blog. Help please. Today's Goal

 

i think you can add a question in the and of the article about the post

 

Yeah that is right, get your readers involve, ask them their opinion like a quick poll, if you are using wordpress I suggest you to use intensedebate plugin

 

questions or controversial topics/opinions.. but, you need traffic..

I just left a comment on your blog, really nice stuff! Just keep posting content and marketing, you'll gradually increase your fanbase and get tons of comments

Develop a blog following; make friends; comment on others' blogs, they will follow you etc.

I think the best way to get people commenting on your blog is by compiling a massive list of blogs lets say more then 100 and adding it to google reader and try commenting on their blogs every day. Of course you should not spam, but write valuable comments or useful comments. I always get comments this way and it will bring in some good traffic.

Try it out and try commenting on atleast 10 blogs every day.

another thing I would suggest is to display a top commenters block in your sidebar with a link to their website. that's how I started my first blog and it worked.
