Hi I have created my first astore, looking forward your reviews. http://astore.amazon.com/mp3accessories-20 I have choosen products using Amazon category with specific keywords search, even after page showing of 100 to 1000s results. How I can reduce the search result to 10 to 100 instead of 100+ with hot selling or new produts comes first but without adding them manually. Also how i can move astore to proper domain with hosting. Thanks
This is good. It's straightforward and clearly laid out. Don't do any SEO until you move this to your own domain. You should get a nice header/footer for your site and then embed the store into the body. When you log into amazon, click on the astore tab, then click on "edit" next to your astore, go through all the settings without changing anything (just keep clicking continue) until you get to the "finish & get link" option. Once you click on that, select option 2: Embed my store using an inline frame. Just copy and paste that code into your site and it'll show up on your domain. Here's a basic example of such a site: http://www.thebestsellingtoys.com The header/footer and background are mine, and the store is an astore. Once I redo the the design it'll be a cute little site and it already brought in some nice xmas cash. This method (using your own domain) is highly recommended if you want to get good traffic via SEO. Cheers, -Ron
Thanks for all reviews and tips. Anyways more i'm looking forward to build store using domain name. Ron, your thebestsellingtoys.com looking really nice with x'mas logo, in the bottom of the page, you need to remove some extra space by reducing the height to 1000 from 4000. Your site getting any traffic, problem i have noticed that, its single page site with frame, means limited chance of seo. Anyone tried wordpress with astore?, pls share your experience both traffic and sale volume.
I just built the site for the holiday season. I will maybe build it up a bit by adding more pages such as a contact page, about us page, etc. One of the best uses of an astore is as an additional part of a well built site. For example, if you have a site or blog about shoes, you could add a page called "store" that contains your astore. However, even a 2-3 page site can get good rankings if there are enough backlinks and a good domain name. Repeat customers are also something to be considered. What I'll probably do with this domain is run the Associate-O-Matic or ECommerce for Everyone script on it, creating a fully interactive/customizable store which will be really good for SEO and repeat shoppers. As for the 4000 height in the astore, it shouldn't be reduced. One of the major limitations with the astore as a frame within a page is that you can't scroll down within the astore. If you reduce the height to 1000 and someone clicks on an item, the viewer can't scroll down to see the whole description/reviews and the text gets cut off abruptly at the bottom of the astore. This makes the site look really unprofessional and renders it less effective. Once the astore has vertical scrolling enabled, the look of the astore on a separate domain will be much improved.
It's not to bad but kinda looks like every other Amazon store. I agree with the above, prob best to advertise and build page rank etc
nothing without marketing. first of all do marketing for your pages. set iframe code to solve your problem. you can get it from there, if you new there than no problem request them, you will get help soon.
