Actually, I'm pretty sure people just like to know what kind of traffic to shoot for to get that earn that much, not figure out a formula to make money. It's astonishing to hear about people with sites that get few hundred thousand page views per day.

Congrats on the new record day. My wife likes to joke about how excited I use to get over breaking records each month (as small as they were). It is funny how we get so used to the money and the traffic, you really have to work hard at not getting too use to it. It can disappear over night.

    Keep up the good work!

    Cheers!

Ranking number 1 on google for my major keywords would definitely get me close to that level. Not there yet, but I'm still working hard. The only down side to organic search ranking is that it can all disappear with one algo change. I really hope he's not pulling all of his revenues from that one site. It's all about diversifying. I had to learn it the hard way.

wow, so many responses so quickly! Thank you guys for the accolades. I wish I had some magic tips to share but the truth of the matter is that you have to be able to get lots of traffic to your site(s) in order to make really good money. There are some exceptions, but I think it's very rare.

To answer some of your questions, I run 2 web sites. One of them does about 12 million pageviews per month, the other does about 4-5 million pageviews. I've built traffic mainly through word-of-mouth because the content I provide is pretty unique and a lot of people tell their friends about it.

I'm not going to reveal the URLs for obvious reasons. But like I said, there are no magic bullets. I integrate adsense seamlessly so it looks like part of my site and I use images next to the ads. Using techniques written about in DP along with Joel Comm's Adsense secrets ebooks, I've experimented and increased my clickthrough rates by about 500% from when I first started.

BTW, as of 9:04 PM PST, the earnings just hit $2,166.

That is the simple formula for success. Build a site that people really enjoy or find useful, and the income will follow. It's unfortunate that people won't just accept that and start working on their own projects. Instead, you will flooded with many more replies and PMs asking for URLs...

    That's incredibly impressive! :)
    How old are your sites?

If you're earning that much from Adsense, have you tried any other programs?
Depending on your topics, $2k in adsense could translate to 3 times that in affiliate revenue if you can find some good programs to promote.
