Oh ok. Well, then I guess you must be hypnotizing your customers or scaring the hell out of them with one of those Fear Dot Com websites. I just came up with this really cool affiliate idea that may work. Share your idea with me and I'll share mine. I'll go first so if you don't like it you don't have to share yours. We can do this through PM if you'd like.

So, you tell me your idea, and I tell you my proven $2k-3k method/campaigns? Sounds like a bad deal for me. But I like the fact that you're off creating your own ideas rather then trying to crack mine.

Your getting closer though, hypnosis is close. Oh hell. You figured it out, all my missing steps. I have a gif animation of a pendulum going back and forth on the screen and a wav file in the background: "BUY RINGTONES BUY RINGTONES JUST 9.99 A MONTH BUY BUY BUY".

Now everyone here knows the secret. I'm impressed.

Actually, I think you're pretending to sell cell phones but what people are missing is the small text on the bottom that says ONLY INCLUDES RINGTONE. Kinda like how some people sell wholesale lists on Ebay and pretend that they're selling the actual products. I believe some people have been ripped off for as much as $2000 because they though they were bidding on a computer, etc. When the auction is done they get sent a 20 KB zipped folder. That would be a steal if you were Bill Gates!

Are you serious, or are you just throwing in ideas to try to be funny?

Does your traffic actually know their paying for ringtones, or does your landing page try to bs the person to put their phone number in?

Landing page is as clear as daylight - the user freely manages their way to the ringtone merchant page, and then must agree to the TOS in order to order the subscription.

Only 10-12% of my traffic makes it this far.

At least tell me this. Do you host the landing page or is it hosted by a free source?

A free source? Like a Blogger blog or something? Well, that would be an interesting twist.

Neither of my ideas from last night seem to be taking off. 35,000 impressions, 3 clicks, no conversions. Maybe my headlines suck. Wow, that's a low CTR.

I guess I'm going back to work tomorrow...lol.

You want to talk about mind control? How does THIS guy make sales???

Hey AJ!! Am I getting closer? Or am I still off? To be honest man, if I did figure out your idea I would probably never use it. Maybe I would find my own niche and put my own twist to it but would NEVER copy EXACTLY what you're doing.

By the way Python, the reason why you got so many impressions and very view clicks is because your website is well-optimized for your keywords but you're bidding the lowest CPC for a competitive niche. Your website is probably appearing in the sponsored areas on the 5th page. Most people that get that far quit looking at the sponsored areas.

35,000 impressions and 3 clicks is normal for content network. He said he gets thousands of clicks but only has a dozen(i think) niches so he has to be using a really broad niche and finding niches within niches to get the number of keywords/adgroups he needs to get that kind of traffic. He also made this post http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=686063

...which was posted weeks after I created this thread (hint: It's for another campaign, not ringtones), but nevertheless, I like to THINK BIG.

Hey Python! Try using "keyword targeted" ads to see if you can get better results.

"Keyword targeted" is all I am doing right now. I tried placement targeting briefly but I ended up having to pay too much for clicks.

Off to read that other thread.
