My first 100$ month from ads an still need advise

I'm happy to share with you, that my first website made after 4 month 100$ in November.
Still I need your advise to improve my click rate which is low CTR 1.7%.
100$ from 70 000 pageview is that normal?

Still I didn't do anything SEO related work, except 30 links from related websites.
No adv. campaign and my page is PR 0, still 6% of my traffic are from searchengine.

Forget directory submissions. Your links end up way too deep with low PR. Better off getting some decent link exchanges with pages you know your link will go on or buy some monthly subscription links.

Do as much as you can on getting the word out about your site. Start with doing a little SEO, start link exchanges with some sites that are similar in content, etc.

By the way, you can also start by adding your site to your signature in forums, that will bring some more traffic.

I'd have to still recommend directories though. They can't hurt too much if you mix that with high PR link exchanges like your mentioned.

 

Just get more traffic, that converts to clicks.

 

Mahdi, Would you care to share .. from where do you get traffic other than serach engine?

 

I checked my November statistics 87% Direct address / Bookmarks 6.1 search engine and 5.8% external link.

I think most of the direct request users are from Youtube and Google video where I have 70 different videos with website address as watermarked. Those video's get 500 K viewers in 4 months and that was free advertisement for my website.

 

Play around with your adsense. Try different locations on your webpage. Use google heat map.
