I think about 20 days. The bad thing is there are many stuffs that haven't shipped until now. Is that possible that item ordered but never shipped?
The items ordered and not shipped could be because of cancelled orders, fraud, out of stock items, and several other reasons, however Amazon will pay you the commission once an item does ship, even if it ships the next month. 20 days is not long at all for growing your money the way you did. I'd like to hear more about it myself. Can you be a little more specific with how you created your campaigns and your bids, you don't have to say the keywords if you don't want, but I'm sure you have a good method that we could all learn from. thanks, PuReWebDev
hi all... i am back to AM once again.. because last time i spent $1000 to earn $250 back to AM nearly after 10+ months. And this time i spent $5 to get $10 in Amazon. Still working on the same to get more...
I'm curious. What do u mean by spending? Did u spend 1,000$ to buy something in your site to get $250 commision? Isn't it? If so, why you have to do that? Actually I just review your site, I found nothing. I think you should make more contents and drive more users. That would be better. And then u could use Adsense or other to make more money. You know, I spent nothing on ads, instead, I earn money from the ads. Not much but that is profit.
Wish you good luck! Can you give your conversion stats, like number of visitors, click throughs to Amazon, and corresponding sales? A word of caution: Don't make yourself dependent on affiliate sales totally. Its like putting all your eggs in to one basket. Most affiliate programs lack transparency, and use 24 hour cookies. Business models that depend on affiliate sales (ex. Amazon affiliate) are most likely to fail sooner than later for the simple reason that affiliate earnings primarily depend on the affiliate program manager (for example, an affiliate manager may discontinue commission on a particular item (s) or change margins in line with his/her own company requirements). Further, many established sites resort to paid forum advertising to attract fresh talent in to affiliate programs for cheap advertising. Is there any trusted third party evaluation of affiliate programs?
PPC Tip: Don't dump a bunch of money into a PPC campaign at first. Test your landing pages with organic search and then when they are refined, start the PPC...
I keep having sales every so often. For example, last month I had quite a few big sales which earnt me around $50 (I wasn't even advertising until around 2 weeks ago) and then yesterday I had 2 sales which gave me $5.60 Need to keep advertising I think. Only need 5 more items to get up to 6% commission
first congratulations to you! and in our country there is an adage, 2 comes from 1, 3 comes from 2 ,and then everythting can derivative from it. hahaha
nsrajesh, Congratulation on your venture with amazon sales.. Like anandsoft said putting all your eggs in one basket is not a goot thing.. Years ago I starter a hobby site and grew it into a successful business with different advertising campaigns then I joined the amazon affiliate program and my site really took off.. Making good money with amazon up until the end of 2005 then google decided that I had too many affiliate links and my site went into what google calls supplemental results.. With that I dropped out of the first search pages of google for any terms or keywords to like the last pages of the index.. Bad time for all affiliates.. So after all those years I gave up on the website, and started all over, so you see, the quote putting all your eggs into one basket does sound like good advise to me. Good luck in your adventure..
that was last time... but this time i am not losing any $ (even though i not making any). So that was a good news for me.
