My Ezine articles links are not indexed... why not?

So I checked my back links today and I noticed that the articles I've submitted to ezine articles rank number 1 for one of my keyword phrases. On top of that this article is at least 6 months old and the links inside are not indexed by yahoo site explorer or google.

    Is this normal?

It's strange because other links I have that I would figure as garbage links ARE indexed

But an in content, relevant link is not shown...

Google maintains confidentiality which backlinks they will show when someone is researching on a particular site. This is the way to protect the site from similar backlinks. Sure, the links have been recorded but Google won't show it.

Yes, I know that not even a fraction of my true links show in google. But usually yahoo and some other back link tools show most if not all. I see this link in none of these.

Try pinging the article. Whenever I submit an article on Ezine or other article directories I usually ping it after two days. I liked pingoat and pingomatic but it seems like the sites are not working right now. If you do a search on google for "pinging services" you'd find a lot there. I submitted this article http://ezinearticles.com/?Make-More...-Sales-From-Your-Internet-Business&id=4402358 two weeks ago. When I saw that it was not showing on SEO spyglass and Yahoo Site Explorer, I tweeted it and used several pinging service - in two days the link was visible.
