Hey Guys, Yes I do call this a scam because they wait until the users buy the script and offer no support for bugs or future updates. They claim that they offer free updates and bug support for 1 year. E-mails are never answered or if it's a bug then they fix it on their own websites and they don't supply the fix to customers. I personally own 2 licenses on this script and at first they were pretty quick to patch up minor bugs. And for the past few months they haven't been responding to the e-mails. My 2 websites have been live and ranked high and now I am not able to upload any wallpapers at all. I am left with hiring a coder or abandon this script completely because who knows what other problems I will run into in the future. http://wallpaperscript.com/forum/ Code (markup): Tons of posts with no solutions posted. I think this is the wrong category for this thread but... I don't understand how someone would release a script without checking for bugs and fixing all errors. I'm sure this script has been around for a long time so everything should've been fixed. Usually people who own this kind of sites are not programmers but rather resellers so they act as a middle men between you and the programmer - that's why it could be difficult to make them fix the errors on time... The programmer could be on vacation or just not interested - he already got his money for developing the script in the first place.
I have the same problem. They don't provide any support and some serious security bugs exist. I will be forced in the end to post in public about these bugs... They don't reply I am trying to ask for a newer version that the bugs has been fixed but they ignored me. They just told me once "Fixed" but they didn't provide the new version. The replied because I asked about getting more licenses too. (anyone knows any other script like that with support? not free scripts) They have released a newer version which fixes the security problems but they ignore me. I will be forced to post in public the security problems....
I have v3.5.0051. I will just tell you one of the security problems. If you find a website using that version, try to open http://www.a-wallpaper-site.com/implode.php?files=/etc/passwd I don't think is right to post in public the websites that are affected by this problem.
I am looking for some advice. If the company never supports the script there are a couple of files that are encrypted. Is there any way to hire a programmer and fix the script? I am desperate, I don't want know what do to and the script is a security bomb!
Dangerous Bugs is in the script, and the script can be hacked very easy !! Wallpaperscript.com even hack the the entire server, i sent many emails to the Script Site, but they simply ignoring all emails, but if you contact them to buy the script they answer you within minutes. what a shame !! Great script, but who cares if anyone can see my password and hack my site ??? shame on them and their support, i payed 89$ for the script for the full version at that time, now they selling it for $49. The problem now is that if you have paid money to promote your website and all the efforts you have done will be gone if you decide to change the script. I wonder if there is any way another programmer to get paid and fix it.
Yeah you are right, i spent much time and money and efforts to promote my site, i have more than 35000 wallpapers, so now i am using another Script now. about the wallpaperscript.com Scam script, you can't get a programmer to fix it because it's a encrypted script!
I just checked and they have deleted my forum account and my posts. LOL. They could at least use that time to offer some support.
They deleted my account also in wallpaperscript.com forum, and deleted every post that have something to tell members about the security bug and how each site that runs wallpaperscript.com can be hacked very easy!!!, they just don't want anybody to know this !! they not giving support for half year now, but this is not the main problem !! the main problem they still selling a script full of bugs and security risk, and they are ignoring all emails and request for the bug fix. i just feel sorry for all new people who buying this script without knowing the risks and the scams by wallpaperscript.com.
Wallpaperscript.com is a BIG SCAM, i bought the script 4 weeks agoi thought its a good wallpaper script and i payed $79 for the premuim package, i added more than 10,000 wallpapers, and guess WHAT ?? my site been hacked 5 days, all my wallpapers been deleted, my password been changed, and my whole (/home/content/sites) been hacked. after research i foundout its very easy to hack anysite and knowing your database passwords, config files, all users password, the main password ! everything .. just add this to end of any website that runs Wallpaperscript.com ( http://www.SITE.com/implode.php?files=/home/content/html/config.php ) ( http://www.SITE.com/implode.php?files=/etc/passwd ) i sent Wallpaperscript.com so many emails and they simply don't answer and ignoring, this morning i contact them asking to buy the script they answered me after 1 hour convinsing me to buy !! one of the users in their forum suggested me to delete the implode.php file, but now its too late, my site been hacked. everybody BEWARE from Wallpaperscript.com.
Hi my site is running wallpaperscript.com and I ran both of those URLs in my web browser and although I see lots of information output, i dont see my admin password and I do not see any passwords of any kind at all. I see random output showing the path's to all kinds of things and I can see a little bit down the ways my username's for my cpanel accounts, but other than that, not sure if my site can be hacked with that information. is there any patch or anything to stop this?
