Hi all, I have been dealing with IBG (Internet Business Group PLC) http://www.ibg.co.uk/ Who are the owners of popupad.net for the last 3 - 4 weeks. My interest was IBG's popupad.net which offered up to $5.00 CPM' for popups. Which you should know, is amazingly high rates! I began using them and installed their tags on my sites (+100,000 uniques per day). Their ad-server worked very well and poped past some popup blockers with fast delivery time, i was pretty impressed with the invocation code they used. The content of the pops were CPA affiliate offers, (Note IBG run the following CPA affiliate website : AffiliateFuture.com) My first 24 hours of running the pops completed and I excitedly checked the popupad.net cpanel to see my earnings. (stats were not real-time...) To my disappointment, none of the popup impressions had been recorded what-so-ever. Yes, zero impressions, zero earnings. So I gave them the 'benefit of the doubt' and assumed it was a stats failure or perhaps my mistake with the tag generation. I checked, the correct tags were implemented, onto the correct url which the tags were created for, and.. they were popping perfectly. After ruling out my possible error in implementing the tags, I them emailed their tech email address : tech@popupad.net (displayed at the bottom of the control panel when logged in) asking why my account is not logging the impressions / earnings. No reply was received. I then began to get suspicious and googled around, did some whois checks on their domains and, using whois.sc / domaintools.com I was able to view historical changes on the domain popupad.net to see former contact information. I managed to find the telephone number of the previous owner of this website before it was sold to IBG. This gentleman kindly informed me I should be calling IBG, who i then looked up. When I ran IBG (for the 1st time) I spoke to Yolander who apparently is ranked just below the CEO of the company. She took my issue and said she would investigate and get back to me. I then rang again after a week has passed and was told she was on holiday till day Tuesday, and that i should ring back on Wed., I rang again on Wed. and they told me she doesn't work on Wed's or Thurs's. and that she should be off for a few days, and i should ring again....... *** at this point I should shorten the story and say that 3 weeks passed, I spoke to two other people at IBG who both told me they 'do not deal with popupad.net, and that Yolander is the only person who could help. I made about 10 - 15 calls to this company and each time Yolander was 'just about to go into a meeting' or was 'in a meeting' or is 'on the telephone, i stay on hold for her, and she want staight into a meeting'. After I decided this company's staff was a farce, I wrote to the CEO and forwarded a copy of my email to all the other email addresses I had accumulated for IBG, and them telephoned the members of staff at IBG to check to see if they 'received my mail' and asked them to personally forward my email to the CEO. No reply was ever received by email or telephone to all of my communications.... *** To summarize, I sent them a decent volume of impressions and they stats never logged it and I didn't get paid for them. Judge for yourself from my experience if you think IBG (ibg.co.uk/) / popupad.net / AffiliateFuture.com are legitimate. Best regards
I also tried popupad, and my account was "disabled by admin" months ago. I have tried to contact them via e-mail several time with no luck. They did count impressions for 2 days but when I hit .28 (euros) they disabled my account. I must say that they have to be a scam too since it been 5 months (I think) and my last e-mail to them was last month just to see if something had changed support wise but no go. I say avoid them. Also if any one from popuad reads this please contact if you feel I besmirched you in any way.
