You are earning less than $0.01 per click. That is very low indeed. I think I will take AuctionAds of my site soon as there seems to be to many people that are earning less than $0.15 per click on average and I earn more than that from the other products I have on the same pages.
the problem is I am afraid that I will target too far out of my range, I am trying to mix it up a bit but I'm no completely sure what other keywords would be proper, for example you would think that since people are clicking the ads then they would almost definetly be interested. I have been just telling myself that things will pick up after the full 30 days but right now I simple don't know.
Ultimately - its going to depend on your site - what kind of visitors you get, ad placement and targetting. This is true with any advertising. For example. I have 2 car forums- both get about the same traffic and the ads are placed in the same manner. But one makes twice what the other does on adsense (and gets twice the clicks). Some sites do great with YPN, others do better with adsense. Why should AuctionAds be any different? Every ad program isnt for every site. But, dont just give up. Maybe targetting different keywords will make a difference. Or maybe you have to change your placement or your ad size. Maybe your visitors dont know what the ads are because you didnt label them in an enticing manner. Explore. Test. See how you can make it work for youinstead of just giving up.
Thanks for the suggestions, the thing is people can clearly see what the ads are, I have tried adding in other keywords and I don't notice that big of an overall change in clicks, luckily people are still clicking the auction ads. In regards to adsense originally I wasn't see very good results from it, and YPN doesn't work on my site very well, for some reason the ads bearly show and it slows down my website, adbrite from what I've seen doesn't work very well either although with being able to set pricing it might have been a better shorterm option but overall in the long run I wasn't going to make maybe a hundred dollars or so from it. I am also running a CPM program from Canep and unfortunetly earnings have been less than .50 cents a day on average which is incredible strange but owe well. I'll keep playing with the auction ads more I just wish I had a few better idea's for targetting keywords.
I dunno, but there's GOT to be a way of monetizing THAT much traffic! Any way you can do a survey on your site and try to get a better idea of the demographic, and thus the kind of stuff they are likely to buy?
I tried it a while ago, had a great click through rate, didn't have such a high payout.. I'm going to give them one more chance.

Even with perfect targeting your demographics may limit your earnings.. Take a minute to think about who is coming to your site: What is the average age of your visitors? Does your average visitor have a credit-card or PayPal? What is the average income? How likely is it that your average visitor will buy something online? For some sites, AA (or any CPA network/affiliate) just might not work because of the demographics.. Also - Try to think "outside the box" for your keywords, based on your demographics.. If your site is about hiphop, chances are your visitors are interested in more than just Hiphop.. maybe video games, iPods, car-customizations, etc..
Yeah, I was thinking it was the demographics, The age range varies widely, from 13 year olds to 55 year olds (results from an ongoing survey), I think most of them probably do have a paypal account, I am not too sure about the average income, I've not included that question in my survey, I believe it is very likely that they do buy things online.3 I'll update my survey with new questions, to try and get the answers Thanks
But you also have to consider what your visitors WOULD buy from ebay - For example - My Lincoln site does alot of ebay sales because new parts are so expensive you can save alot. But a mustang site might not do so well because the margins are much tighter and you dont save as much buying from ebay. Also - what kind of pricepoint are the items coming up at? Clearly, you make more if you sell a $100 item then a $2 item -- so if your visitors would buy car parts vs beanie babies, then your likely to make more.
yeah I imagine most of the items they would buy would cost a relatively small amount. I am getting a variety of items coming up at a variety of prices, a majority of the items displaying are less than £10, although some times items do show that are greater than £100...
Pretty meagre...! What about specific brands of clothing that fans of the genre are likely to buy? "Hip-hop" sounds too general as a keyword.
i dont think u are allowed to show stats of CTR anywhere .. its your privacy and may be in their TOS too so i think u must make sure about this..
