At present, Shoemoney is not taking a cut. All fees are passed directly to the publisher for now.

That's good of him. I guess that is a way to get people on board which is a good marketing plan. Lets just hope that when of if he starts taking a cut, then hopefully it will not be a small percentage. But then it's entirely up to him as it's his program.

Joey... are you sure about that? I doubt he would be doing this for free.

From what I read for now he's doing it for free.
The point is, the more sales you get, eBay pays you more.

Since all AA accounts are connected to one account on eBay Affiliate Program, he's going to get to the top stage very quickly, and then he'll be able to pay all his affiliates all the money they would have made through eBay affiliate Program, and still get allot to himself.

I'm not 100% sure if the affiliates are getting 100% of what they would have earned from ebay yet as don't forget that AuctionAds has an affiliate program that pays you a percentage of what your affiliates earn for the 1st three months. Where's that money coming from?

Do you have to enter the SSN/Tax ID or whatever it asks for at the bottom right corner before they give you your monthly payment via Paypal?

I know google adsense requires this, and I don't mind giving it to them, but not to this site.

On the whole I really like AA. They need to work on a few things, like today - what's happening to the pictures? - but overall it's a good second addition to adsense.

On my wolfmother site, here are my stats for the last few weeks - starting a week ago.

05/15	Wolfmother	340	7	2.06%	$2.71
05/16	Wolfmother	504	6	1.19%	$0.00
05/17	Wolfmother	435	14	3.22%	$0.00
05/18	Wolfmother	423	12	2.84%	$0.00
05/19	Wolfmother	352	5	1.42%	$0.00
05/20	Wolfmother	382	6	1.57%	$0.00
05/21	Wolfmother	493	14	2.84%	$0.00
05/22	Wolfmother	451	13	2.88%	$0.00
05/23	Wolfmother	460	17	3.70%	$9.80
05/24	Wolfmother	377	10	2.65%	$0.13
05/25	Wolfmother	333	7	2.10%	$0.34
05/26	Wolfmother	378	20	5.29%	$0.18
05/27	Wolfmother	411	8	1.95%	$0.00
05/28	Wolfmother	486	16	3.29%	$0.27
05/29	Wolfmother	492	10	2.03%	$0.86
05/30	Wolfmother	508	19	3.74%	$0.32
05/31	Wolfmother	509	14	2.75%	$0.00
06/01	Wolfmother	318	8	2.52%	$0.00
06/02	Wolfmother	365	10	2.74%	$7.67
06/03	Wolfmother	328	12	3.66%	$0.00
Code (markup):
You can see that it's very up and down - not consistent like some member's experience - but overall has a nice CTR and reasonable earnings for such traffic.

I also added a page to my site for "merchandise", just listing AA ads. Unsurprisingly perhaps, I have averaged 6%+ CTR - most days into double figures.

And it works great on my forum, where adsense earned diddly squat. The CTR is again good for a forum and it brings in a few bucks, whereas Adsense really just got ignored.

This is an excellent report. Thanks for that. Would you like to elaborate a bit on the kind of products that people are buying from auctionads through the site without giving away the niche itself.

Wow! having read through the forum, it appears quite a few people here do pretty well with AA. I am pleasantly surprised.

Just target the ads to your niche, or even outside your niche if it is the kind of thing that your visitors might be interested in. Think about the kind of people coming to your site (male/female? old, young?) - then figure out what those people might be interested in.

But wouldn't the ads be displayed based on the content of the page?

No, the ads are not contextual. You specify the keywords.
