Hi guys! I've been a member of this forum for about 2 months. I've learnt so much from it and I want to give a little bit back. I started off with adsense last May. For about 4 months, I made nothing but .50$. I gave up and didn't do anything with my blog. But then I came back in december after joining up with DP. I got so inspired by so many members here. Here are somethings that I learnt Never give up. Only then can you succeed Don't get too obessed with PR. It's just a ranking. Focus on the content and on the visitors to your site. You wll get PR's automatically with the popluarity of your site Blend your ads with the background and use maximum learboards and large rectangles as they have worked well for me Make your site presentable. Don't make it look like your just in it for the money. Love what you do and enjoy every little bit For all you PR obsessed out there. PR can be obtained quite easily by having links to your site from the maximum high PR sites (comments and links to your site) Right now, I'm earning a constant 2$/day and growing everyday. If I can do it, so can you. Good luck
agree, I get down on myself sometimes because I have excelled at everything and when there is a challenge I can't master in 1 month it upsets me. But I realize that when you set high standards that is the price sometimes. I have been using adsense on my brand new sites for about 2 months and do about $8/day on average, but I put a TON of time into this thing.
Thanks so much guys. I received a negative rep for this post saying that it's not original and it was a waste of time. I'd like to point out that I specifically named the thread name as "My experience" and nothing more. It was how I felt it was. I'm sorry if somebody didn't like it My apologies
If one thing doesn't work for you , try something different . Keep playing till you get it right . Thats what you did . Keep it up
DP is an amazing resource full of all the things you need. There are two things here that can help you 1. The search option 2. Members Ask and ask and ask - then seek seek seek. You WILL find the answer. Maybe you should post your links here so that we can help.
You said it right man, work hard. Really, working hard and being not loosing hope is very important or you don't last in adsense.
Good advice..I have been using adsense for a few months now. Over about 200 websites I see my traffic is growing but my CTR is the pits. Most days I don't make anything some days a dollar or two. BUT I don't plan on giving up. I know it will get better. Only about 25 are MFA sites the rest are a mix of informational, search engines, directories and ecommerce. None of them are overwhelmed with adsense ads. In addition I have signed up for clickbank, amazon afflilates, search feed, and revenue pilot to name a few. Since the majority of my sites have only been online a couple of months I just keep telling myself to be patient. While I don't expect to get rich off them, I hope to be able to get a decent residual income at some point. This forum has been a big help.
Well said mate. That is often a problem people become so obsessed with PR that they spend way too much time trying o find tricks or methods to improve it. Once I realized this and starting writing more content and articles to get back links it all started coming naturally. I have had a few high PR sites with little traffic. I have also PR0 sites that get respectable traffic. Once I started focusing on content PR became much less of a concern traffic just starts coming naturally. The only time I really pay attention to PR is that it indicates to me an update has occurred.
In this business, patience and hard work are the keys. Most people here at DP who earns a substantial amount are doing well because they put the effort and the time necessary. There is no overnight success in this business.
