My experience to buy domains from Cheapdomain & 1and1.

    Hi,
I have recently bought plenty of domains from Cheapdomain.com & 1and1. Here is my experience:

    Cheapdomain.com:
Same as it's name, all TLD domains are cheap. For instance, USD8,99 for .com & .net domain per year, and USD 1,99 for .info domain for the 1st year.
    * Plus ICANN fee of 18ยข/yr
    * USD1,95/year if you need private registration
another good thing for cheapdomain.com is, it provides 1 page home page for every domain with its sitebuilder. for example, I have 12 domains under my customer account, so I can have max 12 1-page home pages online without buying a hosting service! this extra service does make some sense for people who just want a simple web page on internet.
Well, when I check whois, I found that actually cheapdomain.com is a reseller of Godaddy, becasue it is using Wild West Domain as domain registrar (WWD is Godaddy's reseller company).
ok, since its price is much cheaper than Godday, so I buy it.

    1and1:
.com domain: USD7,99/1st year, and USD14,99/yr after.
.info domain: USD0,99/1st year, and USD 14,99/yr after.
The best I like 1n1 is: ICANN fee & private registration are included in the price.
and one 5-page homepage is included under 1 customer account, say I have 10 domains in 1n1 account, but I can only create 1 homepage (max 5 pages) for free by using it web builder, without buying a hosting service
The only negative thing is, it's a little bit compliacted to edit DNS (name server, A record, MX record), but ok, I get over of it.

Overall speaking, I love 1and1 more than others

Both of the listed registrars are less than stellar IMO. The first one I've never even heard of and 1&1 has horrible customer service.

Stick to the 0.99 and 1.99 GD coupons you find all over the forums and the web. You'll be much happier in the long run!

When it comes to domain name registration then always go with reputed and established registrar like Godaddy.

    En...
Godaddy's price is pretty high when coming to the 'private registration'. and actually Goddy does have many reseller(wild west domain), who offer cheaper price and using same tech. Well, just own experience.

Im not a fan of Go Daddy business in general, but i do own quite a few domains which i originally bought there when i migrated to working online a few years ago. What Go Daddy do have is great savings when it comes time for renewal of multiple domains etc. However, their privacy costs are too high plus i wouldnt chance hosting a site with them.
1 and 1 have for along time offered poor customer service and problematic domain or site transfers. Wouldnt touch them no matter the deal on offer.
Namecheap are very easy to deal with, and often have very competitive coupons or discounts available. However, you will be doing well to find a renewal coupon or discount anywhere.

Normally I buy domains (.se or .eu) from Swedish registrar whoes price is quite high, and no private registration service included. US domain registrars provide quite decent price anyway.
