My experience about good free directories And Bad Directories

It is just my own experience that I will not submit to bad directory names like I mentioned above. YOu may have different concepts.

i wouldn't totally discount all 4 letter domain names.. sometimes the letters actually stand for something like mine: TUWD.org is the ultimate web directory. but yeah, i would be wary about directories that used to be something else, especially if it's obvious from the name.

 

couldn't agree more! i often wonder who actually submits to those dirs? i guess, as some have said, a link is a link...but personally i don't feel it's worth my time to submit to these.

 

yeah, when i first starting submitting I didn't realize why some of the dirs had weird names. so enough it is pretty obvious

 

I Disagree with the post. Just to let u know from my experience I have submitted my sites to lots of directories including PR0 to PR5 or PR6 with names like these abcd or hyjk (dont remember the exact names but i remember submitting to directories like these), I have got loads of my website pages indexed into search engines because of these directories. It can't do any bad to your site but who knows may be a PR0 website gets PR3 or PR4 within few months so don't think this is not gonna benefit your site. I hope you get the idea.

 

Maybe it not always true but looking at the name is good general way to separate many bad directories from the good. I seen many more bad directories with just letters as name than good ones.
