he did a great job optimizing his pages. The fact that his 3000 pages are not linked from the home page doesn't mean anything, in fact, his Home page gets a higher page rank because of all the incoming links from his other 3000 or so pages. What I'm curious to know is: how did he link all those pages with those keywords, did he use any automatic software, or did he do it manually [hats off to that] working 16 hrs/day?

If he gets his visitors only from adwords itself, it's almost impossible to make more money than he spend. Logically, his ad cost is 100%, meanwhile he share his earning with "Google" through adsense. He has high paying keywords (he earns good money per click) but remember that he also "sacrifices" his money for adwords.

Maybe you need to know what is his main source. Maybe not just adwords, maybe he uses MSN and Yahoo, and maybe he is SEO-ing his website as well.

LOL - funny to see this war between you two. I am sure there is more to the story and how he makes "$400" - you sure on that...? What if he placed the info there for you as bait, etc...

I am not sure how a site such as his could rank $400/day... do visitors count for this? Am a little puzzled as to how he can make that much money.

So what is the status with his tax evasion?

W: That's a good question. I'll try and see if one of his other former workers can help answer that. (and suffice to say, he has a falling out with ALL his workers, a true a-hole at heart)

As a tech geek, he was often in his own zone when he talked about technical or internet stuff and was not very articulate in his explanations. But I do know that he is a database programmer and that his database programming skills has a lot to do with his website design. A lot of it was run automated through database programs that he wrote, including his ad placement. He used what he called "automated templates" where he can change one thing that will update all 3000 web pages. He urged me to use automated templates for my site too, but I couldn't find any no matter how many ways I googled the term "automated template".

When I asked his help, all he did was insult me again. He was verbally abusive and so I often hesitated to ask him any questions as it felt uncomfortable doing so. As you might know, a guy with his personality can only get people to tolerate him by paying them.

But anyway, yeah automated software and his database script programs which he personally wrote, had a lot to do with the design of his website. The question is, if you aren't a database programmer, can you still achieve what he did?

W: Oh there is more to the story, a massive barrage of insults from him, which I plan to paste on the webpage about him in the future. For some reason though, the search engines still haven't indexed that page yet, www.happierabroad.com/Stefan_Muth_Diagnose-Me.htm, even though it's been online for a week now. Does the hyphen mess it up? I put a link to it from my site and so it should have been indexed 2 days after it was up. Why hasn't it?

I personally saw him log into his adsense account and pull up the $400 per day earnings.

If you go to alexa.com and enter in www.diagnose-me.com, his site, you will see that it gets a ton of traffic, thousands of unique visitors per day.

What I don't get is how those visitors are so willing to pay for an online medical diagnosis. If I saw that, I would be skeptical about it. Yet he gets many people to pay for it everyday.

His site is nice but I don't see how he makes that much either.

I'll see if some of my tech friends can come here and analyze it too.

In response to your last question, the tax evasions he does are mostly buying up costly items and writing them off as business expenses. When we went to the Philippines to find a wife, which we both did, he wrote off his expenses as business expenses, when they really weren't. And he did a number of similar things back in Hawaii as well. I hope the IRS gets him eventually, as he's accrued tons of bad karma, and stole 10K from his own workers which caused a fight between them that almost got violent. He has no workers left, needless to say.

One of his last workers, whom I knew, wrote this to me after he left:

“Hey Winston, this is <name snipped>, remember me from up at Gov before you and Stefan left for the Philippines? We have not talked since you left, but you would likely be very interested to know some of the things that have happened between me and Stefan and some other workers. If anything so that you know just how off-the-rocker he is. He essentially stole 10,000 from me, in the form of wages promised but never paid (this is heavily documented) needless to say I am no longer working for him, and a new worker Mikey and him are possibly embroiled in a legal battle over trivial circumstances. My honest opinion is that he is unstable and possibly not even safe to be around, let alone do business with, I curse my poor judgement in ever trusting him.

Hope all is well with you!”

The odd thing is that even though he is rich and has around 2 million in assets, he lives in a shack and can't figure out a way to get running water or convince contractors in Hawaii to build a house for him, no matter how much money he offers them. That is bizarre. Any average Joe with enough money could hire people to build a house for him. But he claims there are too many logistical problems. I wonder if he lacks common sense or just can't organize simple things in the off-computer world.

He also keeps a ton of money in gold at his forest preserve in Laupahoehoe, Hawaii, buried somewhere secret, so if anyone feels like treasure hunting.........

I reviewed your ex-mate's site and I can't figure out how he generates 400$ a day. All those 3000 pages probably look pretty much like this one and have the same placement of ads. Presuming that, I can freely say that all ads , then, are not placed very good. What I want to say is that, in my opinion, the pages are not Adsense moneymakers by themselves, they are not designed that way.

Those 400$ a day is an enormous amount of clicks each day and enormous amount of visits. Let's do the math. Let's take that his CTR is 1%. Let's say that the average click is worth 0.5$, that means he generates 800 clicks a day. So if 1% CTR is 800 clicks it means that he generates 80,000 impressions a day.

What confuses me is how he gets people to click that much on the ads. I think you will agree that 800 clicks a day is a very high number.

Eurofile007, in your first post you wrote about your friend making this kind money in a wrong way I think. You wrote like he placed his site on the web and the next day he made a lots of money. In order for someone to have 80,000 impressions a day and income like him , you need to work on your site for a long time, and who knows how long he was promoting his pages before he got to this point.

I think that is very childish of you two arguing. I hope that you can earn that much. I'm just starting to invest on ppc advertising and I would see the result on May.

W: What is wrong with the placement of his ads? He uses the medium rectangle at the top and in the center, and the skyscraper ads as well. He follows the tips recommended by the pros on ad placement.

I agree that $400 a day is too much for him to be making. If you check his site on www.alexa.com you will see that it does get thousands of hits a day though.

I didn't say that he made that money overnight. I think he said it took him two years to build up his business, both of them probably. For a while, he was making $40 a week.

The site topic is quite appealing itself. Diagnose-me. A lot of people who visit the net for health related information would definitely want to check this site out. The site must have many incoming links to it and it must be very old (some years' old) to get that much traffic and revenue.

    1) You need to understand the concept of less is more. If you notice... your landing page has way too much stuff going on... from pix to content to etc etc etc etc.... too much stuff to read.

Suggestion: Ever write an essay? Stick your main points on the main page. Should be no longer than a short paragraph. Lead/tease them on with pictures. Less but higher quality pictures is better. Cut out the collage, cut out all that clash. It makes ur site look like a cheap Geocities site from a decade ago or something.

    2) All of the button links etc you have are waay dated. Again, see geocities sites circa 1995-1999. Your content is stagnant.

Suggestion: Try checking out the Joomla script for content management. This keeps it nice and organize. Limit/edit ur pictures... I am sure u want the whole world to see everything but little at a time. When I see the pictures... its like going to a flea market... i just wanna find what am looking for and quickly get the hell outta there. Give some more value to ur pages.

Also try blogging some of ur stuff and get a script to pull posts from ur forums into ur front page.

Since you are not really selling a product ( I don't consider ur current picture offers as product sales... they can be a concept u can develop later) focus on organizing your site and provide updated content. If you need to look in the services section and post a want ad for quality posters, reviewers, etc...

I can't stress it enough... your site is an eyesore.

    Good Points:

Again, you have a pretty unique and high potential niche. There are so many ways you can grow with it.

Ex: Subscription service for even better content. Travel related ads. Comission for travel sales. Custom travel packages, etc etc...

Lolz if I had to explain more I would have to charge u for my services...:D

    Anyway,

    Good Luck!

    I don't get it...

I've been all over the site the diagnose-me site and I have seen a single ad. I even started the long and painful process of filling out the analyst forms, but still no ads were seen.

Do you guys see ads? How does he make money with that long and painful set of forms you need to fill out. I'm afraid I would die of whatever disease I thought I might have before I got to the end of the forms.
