My employee stolen my money, how to do?

I trust my employee, so I do not protect my money tightly. I put my money in wallet, and put wallet in bags. I put my bags in office where there is two employee work. and I sleep in another bedroom. Yesterday I found 5% of my money was gone. It must be stolen by one of the two employee. I have not use any money from yesterday. I think they stolen my money 5% everyday and I do not know that. I do not know who are wrong. Is it my fault? Should I put my money in my bedroom so that he/she can not stolen? Is it me cause the steal action? I 'd be responsible for it? I wrong first, then he/she wrong then? I can not sleep, I was so confused. My project is so time-limited. I want to train my employee but how to do now?

You need to be protective of your own money. It stinks that you can't trust your employees but it's your responsibility to keep it in a safe place.

Should I let it be and keep my money in safe place? or I should find the "theft" and fire him/her?

I love that "5%" so exact!!

I suggest taking a baseball bat around to them and asking nicely (while waving Mr Bat in their face) if they know where your money has gone.

    Simple, yet effective.

I'm sorry but trusting others with your money was your own mistake. You can't trust anybody in this world other than yourself.
You could try contacting the police but unless the money that was stolen was a lot, it's usually not worth it.

Your employee can't steal money from you anymore if he's dead. Just sayin'.

Most companies use cameras and safes to protect their money.

you should always keep your money safe...its not that you dont trust the person but just being careful remember, money is the root of all evil. In your case, one of your employees have stolen from you so to avoid it you should keep it hidden elsewhere, with a lock preferably.

You must have evidence first before you accuse them, otherwise they will just deny it. Better keep your valuables in a safe place.
