Well, now that LPF is officially out of my hands, I started to realize how much I miss running a forum. So I decided to start a general forum. I just created one of the many templates I am going to make for it. The style you see here is going to be created in green, orange, blue, and pink. I am also going to do one other style in those colors.

What do you all think of the colors, and the over design?

I am a big fan of the header image it looks really nice. What i don't like is the gradient running over: Forums - Topics - Posts etc..

    Goodluck with your forum,

it looks good, im not a great fan of forums on homepage tho because forums can take a while to become active (sometimes weeks, sometimes months, sometimes never) and all the time its inactive it will grow slowly, whereas if you had a normall, constantly update homepage with the forum a click away if a visiters sees your site one day and thinks nah dont like it, but then finds it again say a week later and it has been updated it makes the site look alive and they are more likely to join.

I really don't care for the olive green. It brings back memories of painting our kitchen trim that color back in 1972 when the color was hot. Of course, maybe its hot again...

IMHO, people who visit forum sites would find that lacks of lines separating your sections a bit confusing.

Any suggestions to replace that? because I am not to much of a fan of it.

Thanks everyone else for the comments. I have alot of experience with developing a forum only site, so I am not worried about inactivity. I appreciate the concern though.

I really like the header/logo. Very crisp and clean looking. The design in itself is fantastic.

I like the header, maybe use of a 'coffee' color would be appropriate.

I like it. Probably not the place to ask this but how do you change a PHBB forum look? I've got one but its the default style that I really don't like.

well there is a template folder in files. You just change it there. If you are not that much of a developer, then you can get premade ones on the net. Here is one site for premade ones.

I would say put the standard color in it like the one you see in the bar below, or may be a tad darker then the one below, experiment i would say.

Ok, I finshed the pink version. Same design, just different colors. I took screenshots so you all don't have to join if you don't want to.

I must be doing something right. 1 week old, and I just got my first award. I am phpbbhacks.com featured forum of the month. That is a achievement considering the site is 1 week old.

Thanks for joining. I need all all the help I can get. I would appreciate it if you could do some posting. I am trying to get more people to start new topics. Most people are just replying to already created topics.
