    My eCPM has just rocketed from $1.71 yesterday to $11.76 today!

    Why? Is this something I should be worried about, or just happy?

    I thought eCPM was calculated on page views - my site isn't that big though..

    hmmm .. eagerly awaiting your advice.

    If you from 10 impressions get one click for $0.10 your eCPM is $10 - so there is nothing weird - it is probably just a day start, if you eCPM is in general lower, through the day it will normalize.

    BTW, if you didn't know, eCPM means earning per thousand impressions. So the traffic has got nothing there.

    eCPM is calculated with following formula.

    Factor = Total Page Impressions/1000
    eCPM = Total Earnings/Factor

    You must have received some high value ad clicks :)

    On small sites ecpm is bound to go up and down, because there aren't too many visitors to average it out quickly.

    Sometimes i think the stats are abit screwed up. I often start the day with a massive eCPM then things slowly go back to normal.
