1.01 Update - nofollow on all links I've added nofollow to all the links generated by the script. It's not much, but it should keep a few of you quiet for now Just replace your existing twpauctions.php with the new one. Let me know if there's any probs with it. ----- Not in this version. I'm using it on my own sites though, I've got about 10 different 'styles' that I can select from the WP post ($style=1 etc...). I haven't seen any huge difference in CTR as of yet, but it does look kinda nice
I know its a little off topic here, but what software did you use to create the "software box" on your website???
CoverAction Pro. I've being going nuts with it in the last few week - I totally love it. Go click the aff link on my website
Tiny update - I've fixed the img tag so it's now xhtml valid (depending on your search query and eBay description text anyway)
TWP Auctions 2.0 update TWP Auctions is now 'eBay Partner Network ready'. I've only just finished making the changes, so if anyone finds any bugs please let me know I've tested it with the new Wordpress 2.5 and it seems to be working fine. And yes, it's still free
Thanks Kerosene. So now you have to change the code in all the posts. I have 230 products on my blog so I was thinking this was going to be a real pain in the ass. Guess what, its not Just download your db and do a ""search and replace" in the db. Then delete the db on the server and upload the new db. Takes 5 minutes to do. Now I am just waiting for an update that hides the rover links
Thanks Kerosene. What I want to do is to keep it a secret to google and others that they link to rover.ebay.
TWP Auctions 2.1 Update Country codes TWP Auctions can now display auctions from non US countries using country codes (au, uk, etc…). Blank mouseover It also includes a blank “onmouseover†function that hides the rover link in the user’s status bar. It's still free (but the clock is ticking) LINK
i dont understand why in the url there is this customid=twp-auctions&toolid=10005&mpre i didnt set that twp-auction in the custom id
If you leave the $customid field blank, it defaults to "twp-auctions". If you use your own $customid, then you'll see that in the url instead of "twp-auctions'. When you look at your eBay reports, you can check the Custom ID to see where your clicks/sales came from. From EPN:
yup i know the custom id story, but if i fill in my own custom id then the script wont work! i doesnt display anything on the website
But it works if you leave it blank? Does your Custom ID have any weird characters or spaces in it? I'll PM you my IM info, if this is a bug then I'd like to sort it out
I think I've found the problem, I bet you had a space in your custom ID? I've updated the script - should be working now. EDIT : Confirmed FIXED
Is this a geographically targetted ? I want to use it. Any demo of working sites ? I don't see the plugin in my admin plugins settings.
It's not automatic. If your site is in German, then you can set the script to 'de'. If you want Australian ads, then you use 'au' etc... Only on the TWP Auctions page. I know a few people who are using it on their own sites, but I'll leave it to them to post their urls. It's a PHP script, not a WP plugin. You can use it on any PHP site, or on a WP blog (if you're prepared to read the instructions)
