Smartpricing is the problem here, i share your pain. I'm thinking about dropping adsense as well. It's just not working out. I think banner/cpm advertisers would work better.
@trichnosis You re right, sad isnt it. I am getting sick of blocking those crappy mfa sites. Some niches are full of it. Google should also increase the amount of urls for the Competitive Ad Filter.
That's a healthy number of clicks. Your visitors might be interested if you can find the right product and you could do better with affiliate marketing.
A combination of adjust your content to Smart Pricing (if you're not sure how, search for smart pricing on DP) or start publishing content on adjacent categories that have higher and more competitive keywords.
Ad sense is paying less less and less now ... Its due to large no of participant in this program and huge MFA sites and adsense arbitrage..
Relying on adsense alone will always lead to frustration. I used to think adsense would be a top revenue stream, but I have found affiliate marketing to be far more profitable and less irritating.
My niches is my niches, but you must all know that I don't rely on forex or top niches or anything like that, because it's not working anymore, I am just building random niches that interests me in real life, it's all about real life .
Apparently you are good with the niche since you have attracted that many visitors. But what have you done about your earnings Is what makes me wonder. I started reading this thread the first day and now I am reading it again. What I want to know is, apart the position of the ad blocks that you have played with and managed to bring to a position where the CTR is just excellent, what else have you done to increase your earnings? What i am trying to figure out is if you have tried to block those MFA sites, and I wonder if you have also tried the adsense ad section tag to target your ads. What I can say about the ad section tag is that it works very well and my earnings have raised on every site i used the adsection tag and it also helped the click through rate. It takes up to 2 weeks for the adsense bot to crawl your content and replace the changes (on those old posts) while on the new ones it works faster. I would say, give it a try for a month or two to tweak your ads this way, in meanwhile work out with affiliates as well.
I am done with Adsense I took off AdSense from my blog and main website . Done with marketing too, I make a lot from real life, my target will be fame and readers . may be in the future I will start a new project to earn from .
if a niche get paid better there will be too much completion and to get visitors to your site would be hard. If the niche is not paid well people stay away from that niche. Just see if you are getting FMA sites paying $0.01 etc and if you eliminate those you may go up to $0.25/click etc which would make you 4 times what you are making today.
