Okay, so I am a total noob when it comes to SEO. I have made many sites in the past but they all failed because I lacked SEO skills. I asked a question on this forum how to get backlinks. Somebody recommended Medium.com I posted an article on Medium. At first I didn't get any views. But when I posted a link to a relevant subreddit that's when I saw early success. Somebody thanked me for sharing my experience and that made my day. I'm feeling pretty good and this early success will motivate me to keep going. Quality content is essential to SEO. Seems so far people like my Medium articles. I just checked the reddit thread and I got another upvote. I just have to ignore haters.
Platforms like medium and reddit is good to get traffics but i dont think these are helpfull to get backlinks ...... Like this you can submit unique contents on Linkedin also to get traffics ..... To get high quality backlinks you should approach theme related blogs / websites to add your unique contents with 1 or 2 backlinks to your website.
