2CO works other way. You click proceed with payment on a site, you are redirected to 2CO page where you enter your credit card details.

 

Just a quick note - I thought since I used this thread to make a decision on buying this plugin. I'll post my experiences with the process here so other people can see from another perspective how this is going.

As I mentioned in my first post. I've built many ecomm websites generating anywhere from 5K/month to 100k/month. So this is a natural fit for me and my business partner with a new twist on our old businesses (using ali for dropshipping rather than traditional manufacturers sourced at trade shows, etc.)

So far the plugin was easy to install - but having some issues. Submitted first support request and will advise on how fast problem(s) are fixed.

At this point, the plugin is basically unusable. Will update shortly.

Thanks for sharing your experience with AliDS and the way you planned your business. This is helpful.

If you don't mind, I have one questions that I did not find an answer to: Is there any way to import or sync a seller's shipping rates?
Note that I am planning to dropship to multiple countries within the same region, and sellers usually offer free shipping to some countries within that region but not to all countries.
I tried to reproduce a sale order and processing scenario as follows:
1- I placed an order from the storefront, on the checkout page it shows "free shipping" (based on my shipping setting on the backend), whereas that seller does not offer free shipping to that country. The order was $25.
2- I processed the order from Ali DS plugin, and figured out that on the checkout page the seller is charging me $2 for shipping, so the total cost of the order increased by $2.

I did not find any plugin that can solve the problem. And as you know, configuring shipping rates in this case does not make sense.

No, the plugin does not import shipping options. Actually I am using free shipping option to all countries and the plugin has options to add your custom delivery options.

1. Could you give a bit more tips in terms of discovering a great niche? Like what specific things to look for such (ball park of monthly search volumes etc?)
2. What are your ways of checking competition?
3. What tools do you use to check monthly searches for keyword ? (Adwords usually gives very rough estimates like 100k-1m)
4. For how long do you think dropshiping will still be a viable business model?
