Just got offered $400 for my account a couple of days ago via MSN, person said that he/she didn't want to have all the work on getting 1000+ posts.

If mine is worth $400, I wonder how much shoemoney's or getjimmy's would be worth

It's funny as the guy offered me $100 at first - then it went up to $400. I think he's a scammer, what do you reckon?

Well I am guessing this is against the rules and mine is also worth roughly that.

I see the guys thinking. Mabye he wanted a high posting account with itrader for deals so he would be trusted.

Anyway I wouldn't sell, scammer or not.

Yeah it's against DP's rules to sell accounts, you can only sell avatar space and signature space, ect.

I think he's a scammer yes, I would delete and block him if I was you.

That is a tempting offer, but I would not accept, I mean you make a lot more than $400 on DP selling etc, especially people will trust you more with your iTrader being 40+.

Also sadly it is against the rules, so I would not like to sell it as you just run the risk of getting banned, if you ever get caught :p!

There is a lot of such scammers around, maybe you can forward whatever info to the mods, so that they are able to track if it is the work of any formerly banned members?

Maybe you should make your email address private.

If one person comes in here every week to report this how many people do you think actually accepted the offer and sold their accounts? Is there a way mods know when this happens?

I think the change of IP would be visible but it would be difficult to check given the sheer number of members here. But my guess is, if someone spend such money it is definitely for illegal purposes, therefore they would be caught sooner or later.

One thing I would advise for such "indecent" proposal is to take the money but do not give them the account. Give the information maybe the Paypal details, emails etc to the mods for them to investigate.

That's offer is a lot of money. I guess the buyer might be up to no good since he is offering such a high price.

You should sell it, then the moment before you hand it to him, tell the mods to perm ban you in a few days for no reason.

Then get new computer/net with new ip and make a new account lol

Don't sell your account! He's obviously a scammer, else why would he spend 400$ for an account? Yea, it's right .. you have 1k+ posts but these are good if you want to scam someone because people trust members with many posts/good profiles.

Actually I thought of a new idea, if there is really such a princely sum $4500, arrange with the mods, collect the money, hand him the account. Then let the mods identify the login IPs and return you back your account. On one hand you earn the money, on the other hand you are helping the mods do a sting operation :)
