I find it funny that people are always trying to make sites with Adsense on auto pilot... And now their beloved program is also on auto pilot... May God help you if you have Adsense problems...
I have sent emails to Adsense support a few times. They did respond within 14 days each time I sent one. Be patient. If you show that you are the new owner of the domain and you put new content on that domain, they should approve your site for your adsense account. I stress "should"!
Was that last year and earlier? I know they did respond last year....but this year it's different. And it has probably got to do with the economic problems...(cost saving/downsizing/etc)
