My domain was banned.. what now?

Hello,

I bought the domain http://www.watermark.ws and built a cool little application on it. As soon as I put it live, I noticed that the adsense ads at the bottom arent appearing.

I replaced them with Adbrite temporarly. On my localhost, ads would show, but not on Watermark.ws. I think the old owner got banned from Adsense. I remember his site. It was filled with adsense and no content.

So WHAT do I do now?? I contacted adsense, but they NEVER respond in person, its just an automatic robot redirecting me to FAQs. This is SO disappointing. They seem to have completely eliminated customer support. Wow, who would have thought a company like Google has no customer support.

Now, I'm clueless on how to even get back with them. Seems like its not possible.

Any clues?

What way did you try to contact Adsense support? By email?

 

I contacted them through the contact form.

It basically sends an email to them, but they reply with an auto responder that just directs you to FAQ. FAQ cant resolve my issue. Only someone working at Adsense can.

 

I would recommend you to contact them by email;

 

yeah adsense is notorious for having bad customer support - unless your a really really really big publisher (it's not about your traffic, it's about how well it converts -if you're earning 100,000+ month you get assigned an account manager). If you can get someone to give you the email of their account manager you can contact them that way - otherwise it's going to be difficult.

Google doesn't care if the domain is banned, once it's locked - it's locked unless you get some serious attention. Best thing to do is get a new domain - 301 redirect the .ws domain to it and run the ads off that one.

 

Thanks for the hint Slincon. I've never though about that solution. I have sent an email to Adsense support and will see if anything happens there first. Its kind of scary that Google can ban your domain without any feedback. There is no way to negotiate anything with the support team on the issue.

In some occasions, it could happen that they ban a domain for a wrong reason. The publishers get screwed without reasoning.

Pretty scary I'd say.

There are many that get away with having a purely PSA site, but on the other hand there are those who get screwed for having a great content site.

 

Kind of like WANTING to date a girl you are attracted to, and she just changes changes her phone number and moves. Same advice. Move on.

 

its difficult to unban last year i got one domain too with banned condition

i simply made as proxy with adbrite and i wont renew that name tooo

 

That you should make a different domain, litigation useless. Unban? never!!!

 

I never had girl problems , I can move on, but I'm a business man. Adsense is the best choice for an application like Watermark.ws. If I have the time and knowledge to get Adsense back on it, I will try.

 

Never say never. I find it stupid creating a different domain. If Adsense doesnt unban, I'll move on with another ad network, but the whole domain redirection thing is too messy for me.

 

When a domain is banned, you shouldn't try to put code on it for 6 months after ownership change unless you specifically get the ok from adsense (and I don't think they allow it). You can actually get your account banned for trying to run it on a banned domain. You should be ok as long as you aren't related to the previous owner - as adsense is wise to people getting their domain banned and then transferring the domain to a friend or family member so they can run a new code on it.

When buying a site from someone, you should first have them show you that adsense will display on the site if it is your intention to use it. There are a lot of people who get a domain banned and then quickly try to dump it to someone else.

 

When my site got banned, I kept silent and try to find another ad network.

 

mjewel, I put Adbrite code on it. I'm not going to bother with Adsense. If they dont reply to my email, screw it. I've wasted enough time with it.

I don't think you should give up. Keep trying if you have a good site.

The whole problem with Adsense is there is really nobody there monitoring it. It is all run by bots. Sometimes a human may check it up...maybe.

If your traffic score is not up to a certain degree, you will get auto banned by the bot. And of course, if you cheat, you get banned. That goes without saying.

There is no one in Adsense, at least no human who is going to help you, unless you're lucky, or you are a big timer.

It wasn't the case one year ago. I could get hold of a human at Adsense back then....even during the middle of 2008.

Basically, the endless stream of new publishers kind of destroyed whatever support there was there. Now you know why G doesn't really want to approve new publishers any more, and the banning seems to be at full steam.

Also, Google probably laid off many of their staff due to the recession. Right now, Adsense is almost 100% on auto pilot....I believe.

You will only get human contact in Adwords...

Thanks for all the input. I sent Adsense an email about a week and half ago and no response. I'm guessing there wont be anyone replying anytime soon.

I also believe Adsense is 99.99999999% run by bots. Hey.. why pay stupid humans to do a job a bot can do without any defects right? right??... lol ..wrong!!! Generally speaking, humans are pretty damn stupid and make a ton of mistakes. Customer support reps just follow their handbook and do as it says, so they figured why not just have the bots read code and auto-respond to literally EVERYTHING. Big flaw in that is that ONLY humans have "reasoning" skills, computers dont and will NEVER have that. Only we know exactly what seems logically right, programs only know whats statistically right.

Its alright. I think I have a bigger chance getting to that premium publishers club who get their personal accountants than getting a response from them as a general ( dumbass ) publisher it seems

 

You may consider to paste the Adsense code on another website to display ads.

 

I don't think that is the reason to ban your site.
