This thread was was like a rollercoaster, ranging from bad advice to extremely bad advice. I read it all and truly can't believe some of the things that people suggested doing.

The fact that you got paid after suggesting that they 'make an offer' is insane. If you did actually register the domain knowing that it contained the trade mark term and you were trying to use that in the course of trade, simply put you infringed their trade mark right. You benefited from their reputation and investment of their mark and then you offered to sell it, fulling a general requirement that the domain is for business use, rather than private use.

Whats even more is that your story changed so many times throughout the thread.
Overall, I don't believe you that you sold the domain.

I really think the Trademarks on internet is bull...
In my case there is 4 compagnies with the same frig** 3 characters name in UK. No Us or Canadian trademarks. I have no problem right now, but how could a compagny comme and say: You are squatting our name. When 3 other compagnies in the same country has the same business name!

Trademarks are dull...If you want to protect your trademark: just buy the domains before going public with your products. If not: you just don't care about your internet trademark...

If you don't even have the filing fee what do you plan to pay the lawyer with?

I am not sure how you think you are saving money, you will still pay the filing fee and pay for a lawyer. ???

I have solutions for you. Move the hell out of US or other English speaking countries.

There you go you will get better life quality(better evrywhere except africa/middle east) and no more courts. As simple as that. When you make big money in US anyone can sue fro the most pathetic reason and you will be just wasting money on lawyers.

Just get out of there and get a peace of mind. Shitty place to live anyways.
