I would to comment on some of these posting I am reading here about values as it seems some are getting lost between the difference of name only value and site only values. They are two in different. Machine online appraisals base NAME ONLY so allot of you are laughing at sex, google, yahoo etc..... There is more value coming to play when a business can make money outside of what the name is. Examples: Google, very corny name but they where creative at start up. I used to stay away from google only in the early days because of it's name. (sounds stupid to me but that's personal). PlentyOfFish.com: I have not checked for appraisal on this name but they are a leader with the adsense program. Sex.com: One of the most popular words on our planet. Recently went for 4 million. PokerOnTour: under 10k for name but name holds Brevity Value for millions because of the poker market. Look at the success of the world poker tour. In short what I am saying is values comes from many other ways. If you run a full website get a human appraisal, If you only buy and sell names get a online appraisal. But remember that online appraisals do not factor in brevity value and base results on TLD, length, compound wording, keyword search frequency.
123123.co.il Estimated Worth $219 USD trysmartsearch.net Estimated Worth $1241 USD oriamiga.net Estimated Worth $1956.4 USD This is 100% crap. you cant see the site value tought his Pr and his unicq enters. the two last domains (trysmart... oriamiga..) worth only 15$ each max. ^^ 123123.co.il making 3-4$ daily so he's worth much more
Are you sure??? It appraises my website at $176,580. WebsiteOutlook had it ranked at $71328.30. In reality the site is worth $17,500. That's enough to convince me that nobody (computer or human) can accurately predict an established website's value, simply because they don't have the cost/revenue info in front of them.
It overappraises the small sites and underappraises the big sites. The bigger the site, the more interest it generates. Therefore, the more valuable it is. Twice the annual revenue is not an accurate valuation method.
websiteoutlook.com I have found to be a very accurate site for evaluating current gross value of a site and it's possible earnings potentials based off of traffic alone. If the site has decent commerce abilities, multiply it by at least 3. Only problem I have found is that it doesn't update it's data. I have entered in domains a few months ago, and even though i know they have drastically gone up way back by at least 1,000% on alexa, they still haven't budged a single page view on his site.
