Okay.. So my domain expired.. I guess I forgot to change credit card numbers after I got my new one & it expired yesterday..

I really want to keep my domain name, as it has become my alias online (lol) but I am unable to get into my 1and1 account so I have no clue as to how much I would have to pay.. when I type in my customer id for 1&1 it tells me that the account is not found =/

Does anybody know what I can do so that I don't have to pay like an arm & a leg in order to get my domain back!

I could go with a .com or .info, but I really like how .net flows with the domain name.

    Please help!!

It depends on how long it has been expired. Some hosts charge $150 or more to recover a domain - it's up to them. You'll need to contact them for their charge.

Or maybe you can let a few weeks pass by and try to register your domain name again. If its not well sought then it might be available again. Not sure though if how long the registrar will keep expired domain before making it available again.

Depend on how long its been expired:

So if its been more than a month, then they will charge you around 130$ + reg fee to get the domain back. Also its sloppy to not properly track your assets, the thing is "domain registers" send plenty of emails about domains that are soon to expire so, it should of triggered something in your head to action it.
