Someone mentioned to be recently about Google Sitelinks appear in their webmaster account. It had been a while since i'd checked and low and behold, my real estate directory has got 3 sitelinks showing via webmaster tools, an update that apparently occurred on the 3rd August. Has anyone else seen any site links appearing on their directory???
Quite a lot of people get sitelinks appearing in the Gaygle WebBastardTools. It doesn't necessarily mean that they will show up on searches and/or for the website. They will fluctuates as well. Sometimes a full eight, sometimes three sometimes five etc etc.
Hello... Congrats to you .. i havent been in webmaster tools in a few months so... but did notice that 1 of our niche directories got 4 sitelinks now in the serps Though im not surprised as the site gets tons of traffic from google and the listings get lots of clicks for different keywords which inadvertently are some of the sitelinks (most popular keywords & categories) Good luck to you and your directory thx Malcolm1
congrads, as Anon said, those links appearing in the webmaster tools doesnt necessarily mean sitelinks in Google Search but it is definitely a good start. try to optimize it by disallowing the not-so-impotant site links, Google will try to find new ones, keep doing that until you get the optimum site links
Oh i agree Nima, i'm not getting hyped up. Rather amusingly my niche directory does even show for a direct match search which is weird as i've definitely not done any dodgy link building etc for the site.
Sabian check in the new caffine update and see if they are showing in those results as google has done something new... (then whether or not they are there you can figure out the webmasters tools data.) thx Malcolm1
Sitelinks have become very common. It just means that Google now understands your site better and can say which of your pages might be more important than others.
One of my site also have site links it looks good when google give special treatment to site. but site links are show for particular key words only not for all keywords related to that term.
I was once fond of those extra links - But these days I find them appear for so many sites with low PR (Public Relations) & Traffic that it has lost the respect it demanded - lets say 2 /2 years ago. Anyway - I liked your terms Rob - keep it up
